In the framework of the cycle “Outdoors. Three contemporary narratives of fragility: Isabel Banal, Domènec and Toni Giró” curated by Jordi Font, I developed this net art project that tries to harness the potential of Internet as a channel of interpersonal communication, that can create social alternative positioning and an archive of transforming real actions. The relationship between technological tool of global communication and modesty and privacy of interpersonal actions that may arise and which I have no control nor hold any authory, enable the creation of heterotopic spaces thats escapes from the inertia condition imposed within our social system.
More than 6,000 years ago, for important commercial transactionsthere existed a system of guaranteed transport, based on bullae. On his cart the carrier would have a ball of hardened clay whichcontained clay figures and inscriptions representing the goods andthese inscriptions would be repeated on the surface of the bulla. On arrival, the ball would be opened and its contents checked tosee if it coincided with the goods on the cart. A coin was an abstract instrument whose value depended on real existing merchandise. In our present-day world, we have delegated responsibility for commercial transactions within an economic system that has no relation to the real things we exchange (work, capital, time, goods, services) but that imposes its criteria based on hyper-consumption to perpetuate itself and dominate our lives.
