Theater of operations is the name given to a set of strategies designed by military intelligence in the occupation of a territory. The deployment of their operating instruments and technologies from various systems of representation, intends to facilitate the achievement of objectives in terms of war and geostrategic policy guidelines.

In this series of works, the usual meaning of the term is altered to assimilate it to a creative strategy. The presentation of a heterogeneous set of support geometric structures, elements that foreshadow schematically situations of protection and simple manipulations of existing objects, are articulated with a dialectics of the sculptural materials and devices. The way the pieces are displayed prevents passage, fragments the space and connects the different parts of the whole. The works of this project show another theater of operations without alluding to any offensive capability, but stimulating the viewer’s emancipation since a sculptural series of tools to promote an autonomous thinking beyond the aesthetics evidences.
